Black and white print line engraving; From Barnard's History of England 1783; Cornwallis is shown on the field, encampment to the rear, meeting Washington; he extends his sword to Washington in act of surrender; Cornwallis has many of his men behind him, one carrying the flag; Washington has one aid with him, but others would seem to be just out of the picture as flags can be seen coming on the scen to the right; drums are shown in the lower left of the picture.
