Patrick Henry Resigns His Command
Passed over by Congress for an appointment as brigadier general in the Continental Army and at odds with Virginia's Committee of Safety over other seeming insults, Henry resigns command of the 1st Virginia Regiment. His men then riot until he personally arrives to calm them down.
