George III Agrees to New England Restraining Act
Parliament passes the act earlier in March, which restricts the trade and commerce of New England to Great Britain, Ireland, and the West Indies. Lord North argues that as long as New England refuses to trade with Britain, it should not be allowed to trade elsewhere. The rest of the colonies are added in April.
