Bostonians Hang Stamp Distributor in Effigy
Radicals in Boston hang an effigy of their stamp distributor, merchant Andrew Oliver as part of massive public demonstrations against the Stamp Act. The demonstrators then move to Oliver's house, which they vandalize. Oliver resigns the post the next day.
