Isaac Barré Calls Americans the "Sons of Liberty"
During the debate in the House of Commons over the Stamp Act, Isaac Barré refers to the Americans as "sons of liberty" and tells his fellow members of Parliament to "remember this day" that he "told you so, that the same spirit of freedom which actuated that people at first, will accompany them still." The bill later passes the House by a vote of 205 to 49.
